Along for the Ride Tour was the name of a worldwide by the American progressive metal band Dream Theater, in support of their 13th studio album ''Dream Theater''. The tour began January 15, 2014 in Oporto, Portugal and concluded October 30, 2014 in Sydney, Australia. The tour started with an european leg, in a "An Evening with" format, which started on January 15, and continued until March 2. A north american leg followed shortly after, and lasted during March and April. A second european leg which included an appearance at the Sonisphere festivals, followed during July. Dates in South America were also held during September and October. However, no songs from ''When Day and Dream Unite'', ''Images and Words'', ''Six Degrees of Inner Turbulence'', ''Train of Thought'', ''Octavarium'' and ''Systematic Chaos'' were played.
